Victra sells mobile devices as well as phone plans as a third party provider for a large wireless company. Victra needed to redesign most of their site, enhance their chatbot feature and design a brand new blog. The most important project goal was for Victra to redesign Careers at Victra section. Victra is a WordPress site, so my role was tasked with designing the new templates for the developer to create and add to the WordPress CMS.
Careers at Victra was a new concept from the Victra marketing team. They wanted to move from a "job board" and more of a feature to promote a fun, energetic environment that offered competitive benefits and their award winning workplace. The marketing department only had a limited amount of time for this to go-live. I need to flesh out requirements and MVP items in order to deliver the experience they were hoping for. I facilitated a discovery session with the team, where I asked them to add their requirements and have them view different user experiences and provide feedback to gain insight on their expectations. We then had them vote on the requirement for the launch. This exercise was well received because it allowed everyone to voice their opinions, allow for discussion and have the client set the expectations that my team can manage and deliver.
The Victra marketing team's design and development process was not well-defined. Furthermore, they did not have a set guidelines for creating and maintaining their website. Majority of their images uploaded were either distorted or pixelated due to a lack of system in place. It is important to designate how images are assigned across the site. I created a solution that would help their team maintain the quality digital assets and provide a clear template for how to make changes to their website. For continuity purposes within Victra, I also included a ‘Read Me PDF’ so each image name is assigned to a module in a visual format.
